CFMDC's Distribution Services
Every year films from the CFMDC collection are previewed over 5,500 times, 800 films are rented to over 150 international festivals and exhibition venues, and over 150 titles are sold to broadcasters, individuals and educational institutions worldwide.
Our collection contains seminal works by such influential independent filmmakers as Michael Snow, Joyce Wieland, Patricia Rozema and Midi Onodera, as well as by creative innovators of the last decade such as Mike Hoolboom, Gariné Torossian, Richard Reeves and Wrik Mead.
CFMDC staff, who are specialists in areas such as broadcast and educational titles, gay and lesbian programming, Jewish films, and gallery installation works can help you select films, recommend curated packages, or create a custom program based especially on your needs.
CFMDC ensures it maintains prominent presence at significant festivals and industry conferences so that people know about our services. It helps us keep on top of issues, make contacts, and select new works for the collection. Every year, we acquire approximately 120 new works from filmmakers worldwide.
Notable CFMDC clients include: Festival du Nouveau Cinema, Montreal; Berlinale, Germany; Frameline, San Francisco LGBT Film Festival; Tate Modern Gallery, London UK; Museum of Modern Art, New York; International Film Festival Rotterdam; International Short Film Festival Oberhausen; Images Festival, Toronto.
