This program includes a compilation of artist performances by Iván Cáceres available on demand at CFMDC.tv from August 13th - September 3rd, 2021.

About the program:
“Thus the outside world is not thought of in the dichotomy of inside and outside. But connected and contiguous. The whisper of the dream permeates the matter and the territories of La Paz, especially the Alto, and Iván Cáceres has gone out to read them, to collate them and even to assume them.” (artishockrevista.com)

Q: What is the significant information that you are interested in rescuing from the territories in which you develop a work?

A: Each territory, each spatiality has a deep connotation of its habitability, linked to what we as human beings are, because I believe that we share with other beings in nature a dimension of primal essence.
The capture of this primal information in each space, is the means through which I intend to clarify that intimate and indissoluble relationship between being and to be, which in any way, is manifested through the place.

.....I arrived where the space wanted to open....

The information arrives when the space opens and it is a poetic category of the spirit from which my work has been developing, the perception of the space from a point of view of the manifestation of my other self in these spaces, not only by the sensitive experience that can be had of it, but by the strong imaginative load through which it could be affirmed that this "enters in value"; or what is the same, in "appropriate significance"; condition that allows me to differentiate it from the measurable space of physics or geometry in order to exalt the category of experienced space. It is a kind of feeling of "attachment" that links human beings to those places with which, for one reason or another, they feel identified.

To that extent, this feeling exalts something like the "symbolic dimension" of human habitation and, therefore, would express a powerful "instinct" of belonging to the world or, if you prefer, of appropriation of it, therefore, in this world of surreal spaces and to understand it, I resort to manifestations of my other self, through dreams, reveries, etc., emerging from them the absolute materialization of what it means.

About Iván Cáceres:
Born in 1976 in La Paz Bolivia.
Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Arts, Universidad Mayor de San Andres, La Paz - Bolivia.
He has made since 1998, national and international exhibitions, focusing on the investigation of architecture and emerging art from different contemporary philosophies.

"I investigate the meaning of life around architecture and its hidden spaces. I create worlds saturated with psychological unrealities devoid of narrative context from audiovisual media of multiple formats, wrapping my work in a dreamlike atmosphere, I try to decipher who is time, because it seems to be in these places of the dream. Each and every one of them began to speak through a mechanism of surreal absorption, I digest everything I can perceive about them by examining simple images of spaces, it is like an orientation to topophilia, which aspire to take the human value, reconstructing what could be an answer to this world that is unknown to me." - Iván Cáceres
