Now Transmitting... is an online media art program with projects curated by Christina Battle, Samay Arcentales Cajas, Daniel McIntyre, Rolla Tahir, Esery Mondesir, and James Knott. The three projects explore concepts of time, space, and artistic creation in a pandemic age. Supported by Ontario Arts Council and KLEX Festival.
Oberhausen International Short Film Festival
April 30 – May 9
Lots of Canadians at Oberhausen this year! CFMDC presents our annual Distributor Screening with Vtape on May 8, with films by Zoe Kirk-Gushowaty, Elian Mikkola, Lisa Morse, Emily Pelstring, and Vivek Shraya. Celluloid Expanded focuses on Canada, including performances by CFMDC members Alex MacKenzie, Lindsay McIntyre, Heidi Phillips, and John Price.
In other programs: Jatun Llaxta, Noh Kaah… by Marcos Arriaga (in Labs 2), Lunar Almanac by Malena Szlam (in Conditional Cinema 1), and Minus by Chris Chan Fui Chong (in Labs 3). And there will be Film Farm Workshop led by Philip Hoffman, Scott Miller Berry, Terra Jean Long, Rob Butterworth!

Queer City Cinema Tour, UK
Queer City Cinema’s UK tour continues in Galway (May 9), Dublin (May 10), and London (May 16). We’re thrilled that these CFMDC films are taking part: Bellydance Vogue by Hadi Moussally; Ever Wanting (For Margaret Chung) by TT Takemoto; Fluid Bound by Rob Fatal; I’m a fag 4 U by Vivek Shraya and Wash Day by Kourtney Jackson.
