Ingrid Veninger

Born in Bratislava, Slovakia, Ingrid Veninger has worked extensively in film, television and theatre since 1978. Primarily known as an actor, Ingrid made the transition to producing in1988, by optioning Margaret Atwood’s critically acclaimed novel, “Cat’s Eye.” Since then, she has worked as a producer with Jeremy Podeswa, Jane Siberry, Jacob Wren, Julia Kwan, Charles Officer, Alexandra Rockingham Gill and Peter Mettler. Ingrid completed the Canadian Film Centre’s Producer’s Lab in 2000, which culminated in the award-winning short “Three Sisters on Moon Lake” (TIFF, Sundance, Hawaii).Current undertakings: Peter Mettler’s lyric documentary “Gambling, Gods and LSD”; performing in the Jacob Wren/Nadia Ross theatre production of “Recent Experiences” (Canada, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Australia, China); and working as Creative Analyst for another round of the Low Budget Feature Film Program at Telefilm Canada. Charles Officer: Emerging filmmaker, actor and visual artist, Charles Officer studied communication design at the Ontatrio College of Art & Design, theatre at the Neighbourhood Playhouse School of Theatre and filmmaking at the Canadian Film Centre. His first film, “When Morning Comes,” premiered at TIFF in 2000. His second, “Short Hymn_Silent War,” produced at the Canadian Film Centre, received a Special Jury Citation for Best Canadian Short Film at TIFF 2002. Recently completed are short films “Pop Song” (2003), and “Urda/Bone” (2003). Charles has appeared in stage, film and television productions working with Larenz Tate, Juliet Lewis and William Shatner.
