Sean Kaminsky

M. Sean Kaminsky is a director/writer/actor based in Brooklyn, NY. His most recent LGBTQ themed-short, “All Us Choir Boys” explores issues of isolation, trauma and memory loss in our Zoom age. His feature indie documentary “Open Sesame: The Story of Seeds” sold for worldwide distribution and was broadcast on multiple PBS affiliates. He directed “Gifted and Challenged the making of Shortbus” a thirty-minute documentary that follows the making of John Cameron Mitchell’s controversial film. He produced “Gay Sex in the 70s” an award-winning documentary that garnered a theatrical release and wide distribution. Prior short films such as “RitualNation” and “How Beatrice Came Clean” have screened at festivals worldwide, including Inside Out, Outfest, Frameline, The Hamptons Film Festival and many others. He began using his middle name, ‘Sean’, while living in an artist’s collective in San Francisco.
