JT O’Neal

J.T. O’Neil graduated from the University of Kansas, majoring in history of Art, then served in the United States Air Force. An accomplished photographer, his photos are included in major museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in NYC and the library of Congress in Washington D.C. In 1999, he started to concentrate on his true passion, screenwriting and film. His screenplay “Black Diamond” placed third at the Maui Writer’s Conference, and resulted in his first paid assignment: adapting a tell-all novel about Joy Adamson, the “Born Free” lady, into a screenplay. In 2001, he moved from Austin, TX to Los Angeles. He conceived his first short film, “Tango Para Dos,” while working out a glass wall divider. It had its world premier at the Sedona International Film Festival and won a bronze award at the Houston Worldfest Film Festival. J.T. O’Neil writes, produces, directs, shoots and edits his films. He is currently studying in the Masters of Fine Arts program in screenwriting at UCLA.
