Lise Beaudry

Lise Beaudry was born in a small francophone community in Northern Ontario and graduated from Concordia University with a BFA in Photography. Her photography has been exhibited across Canada, in the US and in Arles, France during Les Recontres Internationales de la Photographie. Lise’s first film, “Le Tourbillon,”won a Best Up and Coming Toronto Film/Video Maker Award from the INSIDE/OUT Gay and Lesbian Film Festival in Toronto, as well as the Audience Award for Best Short at the Dublin Gay and Lesbian Film festival. Lise also works as a community artist, introducing photography as a means of creative expression. She is presently working on projects with SOY (queer youth) and SKETCH (street-involved youth).
