Katharine Asals

Katharine Asals is a filmmaker and a visual artist living and working in Toronto. She graduated from Concordia University’s Inter-Related Arts program in 1990 and since then has worked as a director and an editor. “Pretending We Were Indians” screened at Ann Arbor, Race to the Screen, the Indian Summer Festival of Aboriginal Film and was broadcast on WTN . “Past History” received funding from the Ontario Arts Council and the PAFPS program of the NFB. The film was screened at many festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival, Ann Arbor and Yorkton.
