
Atom Cianfarani
Maya Suess, makes drawings, installations, videos, performances and
other mischievous entities. Her performative installations use music
and playful aesthetics to expolre identity, sexuality and practical
magic. She holds a BFA from Emily Carr Institute + MFA in contemporary
performance from Simon Fraser University. Born on a small island off
the coast of western Canada, today she lives Brooklyn, NY.
Atom Cianfarani’s work is founded in refuse and an ecological
preservationist ideology, and she coined the phrase Upcycled Commodity
Designer/Artist. Cianfarani works examines bioremediation, using the
urban waste-scape to generate renewal. Her recent work explores
survivalist practices and apocalypse strategies.
