Federica Gianni

Federica Gianni is an Italian writer and director based in New York since 2009. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Directing/Screenwriting at Columbia University. Federica has worked internationally, making films in New York, Rome and Paris, where she was selected to attend the prestigious film school La FEMIS for a directing workshop. Her latest work The Friend from Tel Aviv screened at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Outfest, NewFest, Frameline, St.Louis International Film Festival, and won the Directors Guild of America “Best Student Film Award” in the woman’s category. Federica has recently become a faculty member at the National High School Institute in Northwestern University in Chicago.
