Guevara, Adriana Vila

Venezuelan filmmaker, artist and anthropologist. Her work moves between the realms of documentary creation, ethnography and experimental filmmaking. Co-founder of the independent analog film lab Crater-Lab, she focuses her work in the materiality and immateriality of film as screening, performance, and installation. Currently completing a doctoral research in Anthropology with a dissertation on The Making of a Film Portrait: a paradoxical reflexive ethnographic study of 7 years of personal and collective rituals surrounding the construction of her film “BELEN”.
