Jevon Boreland

Jevon Boreland is a Canadian Director/Writer/Producer who resides in Toronto and who loves to push the envelope with every film he works on. His passion for high emotion, story, and character-driven dark films influences his filmmaking. He first got introduced to the world of film at the age of 7 after watching Wes Craven’s “Scream” which lead him down a path of creative storytelling. It was not until Jevon was 11 years old when he picked up the pen and decided to officially start writing screenplays. Jevon studied Business Administrative Marketing at Sheridan College while recording and performing his own music, having opened for acts such as Bow Wow and Girlicious to name a few. He then took his love for film and applied it to producing and directing some of his own music videos which would serve as short films. After taking 5 years off of school to travel and gain more life experience, Jevon’s “can’t stop, won’t stop” attitude drove him to enroll into the Film and Television program at Humber College in Toronto where he could study and improve his passion of filmmaking. Now, being a 2-time Best Director winner, with the accumulation of 6 official selections, 8 nominations, and 4 wins for his 2018 documentary Stripped, Jevon shows no signs of slowing down.
