Sculptures You Can Live In
tv
WATCH ON DEMAND
Canada / 9:55 / 2013 / sound / colour / No dialogue
The phrase "sculptures you can live in" is now part of condo developers' vocabulary. This movie focuses on a condo site rising on Toronto's lakeshore, whose projects are being financed by Sotheby's fine art auction house, amongst others. With tongue-in-cheek, Sculptures You Can Live In looks at how a melding of fine art and commercial art techniques is being used to sell these condos. In parallel, the video contrasts these "sculptures you can live in" with fine art sculptures on the site that are also being lived in-by local birds.
