Celluloid Only (restricted to Super 8, 16mm, and 35mm)
Mikaela is a student at Concordia University's Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema in Montréal, QC. She works on both personal documentary projects and freelance film and editing projects out of Montréal, Ottawa Ontario, and Corner Brook Newfoundland.
Her films seek to explore themes of personal and collective identity and memory, femininity and gender, community, and environmental issues.
Mikaela works as a director of her own projects and collaborator as an editor and cinematographer. Her most recent film, Ilana Dances premiered at the Concordia Film Festival 2020 (CFF), and premiered internationally at Women X Film Festival in the UK.
