Dear CFMDC exhibition clients,
In this precarious and difficult time the team at CFMDC would like to express our support and solidarity to all our valued exhibition clients globally. We know that strategies of COVID-19 mitigation and "flattening the curve," including social distancing and bans on large public gatherings, have had a huge impact on educators, festivals, and community exhibitors.
As you proceed with last-minute “Plan B” options to make Canadian and international independent film available to a wider audience, we are here to support your efforts. Whether you are a festival moving to on-line presentation or an education institute offering students access to course material via streaming, we want to assure you, that despite our remote work-from-home protocol at CFMDC, we are here, and have the capacity, to meet your digital media needs.
CFMDC has closed our offices, and staff are working from home, therefore no celluloid film prints will be shipping until the office re-opens. If the film has a digital copy, we can replace the print with a digital file. The office is tentatively scheduled to re-open April 6, but we will continue to monitor the situation closely so this may change.
To access our on-line previews, alter, or make new bookings please don’t hesitate to contact Distribution Coordinator Jesse Brossoit at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are all concerned with the economic impact and ripple effect this will have on the entire arts milieu, but it is our hope that we can continue to ensure that our artists are remunerated for the exhibition of their work on all platforms.
Wishing you all the best for health and safety in these challenging times.
