Inside Out Festival - Online in Ontario
Inside Out continues to October 11, celebrating its 30th year of presenting LGBTQ films! Congrats to CFMDCers screening in this year’s fest, including, in the Shorts programs: Trevor Anderson (Jesse Jams), Ben Edelberg (They Looked at Me and I Smiled), and Mark Pariselli (Family). And to Chase Joynt, whose new feature No Ordinary Man (co-directed with Aisling Chin-Yee) has been getting accolades, screening at Inside Out following its premiere at TIFF.

Featuring performances by Beverly Glenn-Copeland + Leslie Supnet, Jessica Karuhanga, Annie Beach; short film screenings presented by Ism Ism Ism and Addis Video Art Festival; feature film No Data Plan by Miko Revereza; Art Writing Workshop; Studio Visits + more. CFMDC is sponsoring the Madwomxn shorts program with Pleasure Dome: Women-identified people’s relationship with madness has always been distinct. From the archetypal “madwoman in the attic,” to individual experiences of womxn consumers / survivors / ex-inmates, to the “mad” cultural expectations of femininity in everyday life. AluCine Latin Film + Media Arts Festival - In Person & Online
The 20th edition of aluCine takes place October 28-31 in person at the Paradise Theatre in Toronto, and October 21 - November 5 online on Vucavu. Don’t miss the Cine Norte / Cine Sur 20th Anniversary screening, a tribute to female filmmakers which includes works by CFMDC members Guillermina Buzio, Francisca Duran, Claudia Morgado Escanilla, Alexandra Gelis, & Madi Piller.
