CFMDC Is Hiring!
We are looking for an Event and Distribution Assistant who will work collaboratively with CFMDC's Management and staff team members.

Deadline: November 10, 2020; Start date: November 16.

We are looking for someone to add to our team, who: 

  • Has excellent time and task management skills;
  • Has strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Contributes to an environment of innovation, collaboration and personal accountability;
  • Proactively contributes to and maintains effective working team relationships;
  • Ability to work in a co-operative environment committed to equity and non-discrimination.
     
This position will support the team and our operations by:

  • Assisting with festival submissions;
  • Assisting with client outreach and deliverables;
  • Assisting with database and record keeping;
  • Assisting with Member Services to filmmakers;
  • Assisting with media migration, digitization, and website maintenance;
  • Assisting with other media distribution related tasks;
  • Assisting with programming and events as needed.

Requirements:

Related Experience : 

  • Proficiency with Macintosh computers, database and design software
  • Post secondary education in media, and/or education relating to arts management
  • Previous experience in not-for-profit/artist run cultural organization an asset
     
Additional Info:

This is a 14-28 hour a week contract position depending on availability. $16.00/hour.

Eligibility: This position is funded through Canada Summer Jobs which requires applicants to be between the ages of 15 and 30 years. Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada and have a valid SIN. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. Please note that International Students are not eligible.
