Another Europe by Sangam Sharma (2020 / 54:47 / Austria). An essay film rooted in experimental cinema and queer storytelling. A female narrator (fellow artist Kathi Hofer) provides the voice over for this film, making it a reflection on my life and my journey through Europe from 2019-2020.

[Être] by Mario DeGiglio-Bellemare (2022 / 8:00 / Canada). [Être] was a thrift shop and eventually underground screening space in Montreal’s Mile End district. The space featured as its main attraction objects picked-up on garbage nights and accrued over many years by proprietor-curators Alek Gruszczynski and Ewa Zbroch.

Events in the Tunnel by Penny McCann & Eric Walker (2022 / 10:01 / Canada). Drawn from Super 8 films in the artists’ personal archives as well as found amateur 8mm footage, Events in the Tunnel presents an absurdist abbreviated retelling of Canada’s colonial history as defined by that great colonial trope, the cross-country train trip.

Field Trip by Richard Kerr (2022 / 50:40 / Canada). A travel diary on the American social landscape. The images consist of visual research for future film projects and were accumulated during many location scouting trips to the United States between 1980 and 1995.

Goldstar by Alyssa Owsiany, Sima Sepehri, Travis Nelson, Dominic Guertin (2021 / 11:36 / Canada). An intimate look at the difference between love and relationships.

HK Uprising and Sab Shimono: Acting "As If" by TT Takemoto. HK Uprising (2021 / 2:43 / USA) is a tribute to the ongoing protests in Hong Kong. In Sab Shimono (USA / 9:55 / 2016-2021), acclaimed Japanese American actor Sab Shimono reflects on his lifelong commitment to the craft of acting and his struggles against racism and homophobia.

I (heart) Jack Lalanne: A Cartoon Memoir by LeAnn Erickson & Jake Rasmussen (2022 / 14:20 / USA). An animated documentary film structured around the life and legend of Jack LaLanne as it explores the filmmaker's personal experiences growing up female and gay in 1960s-70s America.

Marble Presents "IT'S MY HOUSE" by Alysha Seriani & Hazel Meyer (2021 / 4.47 / Canada). Made in the style of a karaoke music video, this is part homage to Diana Ross’s 1979 single “It’s My House,” and part exploration of the messes and pleasures of having and sharing a “space” to call our own.

Rema Nascentes (Rheme maining sources) by Ж (2021 / 16.44 / Brazil). A place-specific film-excavation of the Bixiga neighbourhood in São Paulo. A choreography of forces that cross present time.

Sad Girls In Bikinis by Omneya Tollar (2022 / 3:48 / Canada). Girls in bikinis are sad together.

the_other_images by Iris Blauensteiner and The world is blue at its edges by Iris Blauensteiner & Christine Moderbacher. the_other_images (Austria / 17:00 / 2018 ) explores how memory and remembering is possible when digital storages fail or cannot be accessed. Based on a childhood memory, The world is blue at its edges (Austria / 14:30 / 2021) spans from the Cold War to the so-called "refugee crisis" and the renewed closing of borders during COVID-19.

The Butch and the Baby Daddy by Barb Taylor & Karleen Pendleton Jiménez (2021 / 6:00 / Canada). Alex (short for Alejandra) has wanted to have a baby almost as long as she can remember. But how is a trans/butch lesbian supposed to get sperm? When she considers asking Mateo, a close gay friend of hers, Alex is forced to investigate what she really values.
