
Maxime Desmons
Maxime Desmons was born in Montargis, France June 12th 1971 France, and graduated from the Strasbourg National Theatre School in 1996. Since then, he has played many roles on stage for French National Theatre Companies (from Edward Bond to Shakespeare) and has also appeared in many French features and short films (by directors Cédric Kahn, Pascale Ferran, Eric Forestier and Matéo Guez). He has directed stage plays in Paris and at the Rome Biennale. Desmons immigrated to Canada in 2003 where he began writing and directing. He has just completed his first novel, “Le pied beau,” with the support of the Toronto Arts Council. Baggage is his first film and Bonne Mère, his second film is based on footage that he shot 10 years ago in Marseille, but subsequently went missing. He is currently working on his first feature script, A Saturday Night in the Country.
