CFMDC currently represents over 1400 members in our collection. Membership at CFMDC entails non-exclusive distribution of filmmakers’ works in our collection, including festival distribution, as well as educational and other bookings opportunities. Members also receive special discounts on CFMDC technical services, and a discounted rate for venue rental.
CFMDC’s collection has had a historical focus on a few main categories of works:
- EXPERIMENTAL, PARTICULARLY FORMALLY EXPERIMENTAL WORKS
- ANIMATION
- DOCUMENTARY WORKS
- WORKS PERTAINING TO QUEER & HISTORICALLY MARGINALIZED AND UNDERREPRESENTED IDENTITIES & LIVES
We are happy to watch and review any independent, artist-made film and video works which fall into these main categories. We also have a strong analog film collection, and welcome the submission of works shot on and/or distributed on film.

- Eligibility: Individual with film(s) in distribution with CFMDC.
- Term: Indeterminate, must comply with Organization politices to retain status and work is in circulation.

- Deposited work listed and searchable in our website catalogue alongside contemporary and historical work (and film print in our physical collection for analogue work).
- You will receive 70% of all royalties pertaining to your work
