Sabine Lebel
Sabine LeBel and Alison Taylor have been making short videos and curating screenings together for over fifteen years. Their work has screened internationally in queer and experimental film festivals. Profiles of them and their work have been featured in Xtra magazine and as part of Charles Street Video’s Maker Space programme. In their collaborations, Sabine and Alison often work with queer themes, sketchy animations, and densely woven low-fi images and sounds to tell non-linear stories. When not making art together, Sabine is an educator, researcher, and artist, and Alison is a film and television editor, writer, artist and stand-up comic.
Sabine and Alison have co-directed: this year, here, Mathematics of a Lesbian Kiss, Shift, Dispatches From The Future and Oh My God.
