Michelle Citron

Michelle Citron is an award-winning film artist: Daughter Rite, What You Take For Granted…, and Leftovers (films), and As American As Apple Pie, Cocktails & Appetizers, and Mixed Greens (interactive narratives). Her work has screened at museums and film festivals worldwide including the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney, The Walker Arts Centre, MCA/Chicago and the New Directors, Berlin, London, Edinburgh, Oberhausen, Outfest, Reeling, and London LGBTfilm festivals. She is the author of Home Movies and Other Necessary Fictions. She’s received fellowships/grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and Illinois Arts Council.
