Mitro, Dylan

Dylan Mitro is an Independent Canadian Filmmaker who’s work blends the “rawness” of Documentary style filmmaking with their colourful fantasies influenced by their Queerness and nostalgia. Using these principles to shape and unify Dylan’s signature storytelling style. Dylan’s latest short film “Ripples”(2022) premiered at the Toronto Inside Out Film Festival and played at San Francisco’s Frameline46 and BFI Flare as well as many others internationally. Dylan’s latest short “I Heard a Siren Calling” has been supported by Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council. They recently were selected for the Spindle Film Foundation Mentorship program as well as the Banff Mountain Film Festival Adventure Filmmaking fellowship.
