The Ritual of the Sex Magick Warriors
The Sex Magick Warriors are organizing, they reveal themselves to the city and risk it all to carry out an obscure objective. The colors pink and teal are the embodiment of Magick, Art and Sexuality and their use by the warriors -through empathy, telepathy and tactile care- spills the tea on their means for survival in these harsh urban environments. The ritual exposes the hardships of this army of lovers and reveals their sensual strategy for self preservation.

Christian’s Curtains
This video was created in response to Christian Lebrat’s installation “R1R2R3R4 (Who’s Afraid Of…)”. Through rapid camera movement, the installation’s panels are converted into flickering colourful textures reminiscent of Lebrat’s film Holon (1981).

Drag Race
A public three-event race in high heels and improvised monologue about all things political from pro-choice philosophies, the glass ceiling, the history of high heels, vandalism and gentrification, buying locally and seasonally, going vegan, sexual health and gender diversity. Participation was highly encouraged and pre-race makeovers were often held at my apartment. This is a document of the 10th annual drag race.

XANH
XANH is a short-film that explores clothing as a form of liberation. Xanh’s (they/them) mother is a seamstress who polices Xanh’s gender presentation through the creation of feminine clothes. As their mom continuously criticizes their wardrobe, Xanh experiences nightmares that push them to search for peace within their spirituality.

Take a Walk on the Wildside
Wigs: shoulder length or long, naturally curled or straight. Shoes: pink glittery six-inch heels or black shiny two-inch heels. Nipples: stick on dime or dollar sized. A vibrant mesh of items line the shelves of one of Toronto’s oldest cross-dressing stores. Opened in 1987, Wildside was one of the only places to offer a full male-to-female transformation through makeup, clothing and hair. Still open today, Take a Walk on the Wildside provides viewers with a glimpse into a day in the life of the store. As five customers pass through, we peek into their colorful lives and reasons for visiting.…

A Conversation With Hana
During the Lunar Year, Yong talks to his family living in Korea from Canada on Skype and partakes in the new year ceremony online. Later on, Yong has a serious conversation on topics ranging from marriage to religion with his 9-year-old sister Hana whose only wish is to see her brother someday.
