Nadine Valcin is a bilingual Canadian filmmaker of Haitian descent whose documentary and dramatic work deals with questions of race, language and identity. Her productions have been widely broadcast on television in Canada and the United States as well as film festivals around the world. She has been awarded numerous grants and prizes including the prestigious Chalmers Arts Fellowship and a Drama Prize from the National Screen Institute.
She holds a professional degree in architecture from McGill University and was recently an artist-in-residence for the 2015-16 academic year at Osgoode Hall Law School.
